A February Affair - Part 1

One month in planning or was it two. Two awesome party coordinators (my wife Monette and Ninang Do). Two senior sponsors - Tita Cely and Tito Geny. One great pool resort in Pansol. One Obando, Bulacan family - Tita Zenys. A lot of BalikBayans! And lots and lots of food!

Oh and a two part blog. Just so many pictures to share...

It was an event to rival other events. Never have we seen this many Anselmos together since the time of the great seniors of Polo Bulacan fame.

A gathering of the youngest to the oldest, I won't mention the names or I will be dead meat...

This was a party to celebrate those who where born on a February. Too many to count with your fingers, you'll need your toes too! If you want to know - maybe check out the Anselmos genealogy tree in Geni.com

We had our Balikbayans, why on earth did they decide to all come home this year, they have their own agendas: Tito Geny and Tita Ester from Toronto, Canada are attending a grand high school reunion. So with Tita Cely . Tita Letty and Tito Nick has some paper matters to do. Jay (who turned out to be my lens favorite. I missed this guy...) and Apa (Abigail had to follow later) is on their first Balikbayan vacation in 10 years! Hurray! These guys all flew in from California. Ate Beth from the green apple (NY) just wanted to be with us and is on a much deserved break from her work.

Tita Zeny's family was with us and we were all glad that they can join us - I guess everybody was there, the kids to my cousins, even Felicia too!

Again, if you want this way bigger click on the image (but outside the green triangle thingy), OK.

Wait for the next part of this blog... soon, hopefully soon, just soon...

I am getting fond of collages, so here are two (click on the collage to see them huge!):

Manila Ocean Park

One of the many places that we went to with our Holiday visitors - Tito Geny and Tita Ester was the Manila Ocean Park.

Situated behind the Luneta (Rizal Park) Grand Stand is an oceanographic haven. Hey, you go there at the right time of the day you can even catch the world famous sunset at the Manila Bay.

The place is still a work in progress. The oceanarium is up as with some stores and restaurants. The mall though is still under construction as with a lot of other stuff that they designed this place to be.

Click on the Manila Ocean Park logo above to jump you to it's web page and get a glimpse of what is and what is yet to come... It may not rival the oceanariums of Singapore, Sydney or in some other country in scale or grandeur but it is a Pinoy achievement. The next time you come home to the Philippines, see the place and you may find it more than comparable to others.

Of course, this post will not be complete without the pictures, so click away...

Oh, if you want some music while you go through the pictures, click on that play button below, OK? The pictures and music are not in sync, so just be creative...

Holiday Season 2008

This holiday season was full of homecomings. Tita Letty and Tito Nick arrived from California, then next came Tito Geny and Tita Ester from Canada, and last Ninang Do also from California. Ate Beth is scheduled to arrive from New York this February.

A lot of family gatherings were held and here are some (at least those I was privileged to join) of the events recorded in pictures.

It was the first time that the Toribio siblings where together after a very long time, so let us start off with some pictures taken by Tunying, Tito Geny and Johan of the event. Click on the slideshow for a bigger picture or just click on that triangle thingy to start the slideshow.

So sit back, relax, and click click away...

Now, here are pictures that I took of the annual family Christmas gathering. Of course lot's of food. There were games and tons of prizes... gifts and gifts galore! Check it out to see all the happy faces!

And some New Year pictures with our guests - Tito Geny and Tita Ester.

Some collages to end. I hope you won't mind... could not resist posting these...

HAPPY NEW YEAR YA ALL!!!
